In 1993, Chris Martin founded Taylor Maid Farms to help him demonstrate that proper soil treatment and organic farming can deliver great tasting, vibrant crops. Taylor Maid Farms still stands on the same principles as it did the day Chris started roasting it’s coffee in a barn on his 200 acre farm in Occidental. Chris has a long history in Sonoma County and is connected to many successful businesses in the area. He can often be found with his wife Terry helping guests at their restaurant, Howards Station in Occidental, or working with the team at Loring Smart Roast to help develop their strategy for putting environmentally friendly roasters in the hands of coffee roasters. Chris has given the team at Taylor Maid Farms a guidance and freedom to run and support the company, making sure it stays true to it’s history.

Rob Daly first joined Taylor Maid Farms as the Wholesale Manager in 1998. After almost 20 years in the coffee industry, he now feels like he is in the role he’s meant to be in- Company Director. His tireless work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit have led TMF into an exciting new chapter of increased transparency, stronger community ties, and focused, sustainable growth. It’s hard to say what we love more: Rob’s fearless leadership or the fact that he’s also a wig-wearing drummer in the 80’s cover band Choppin Broccoli. Having traveled to Europe, Africa, Thailand and China, there are two places remaining on his “must visit” list: an organic coffee farm and the La Marzocco factory in Florence, Italy. Rob was born and raised in Sonoma County and would never consider any other place to call home.
Favorite Coffee/Brew Method: Espresso, 20g pulled ristretto.

After a day behind the espresso bar at TMF, Bill often heads to the Russian River Brewing Co. to throw back a few Pliny the Elders (the infamous double hop IPA).
