What’s Your Cup of Tea?
Lately, it seems there are quite a few articles being written comparing the various attributes of two of our favorite beverages–wine and coffee. As Sonoma County’s leading purveyor of sustainable coffee, we can appreciate the similarities. Both require a painstaking labor of love and in return offer us an intriguing world of flavors and aromas to explore. Both come to us from distinct regions around the world and take on a signature, or terroir, from the unique places they are grown. Both have developed into a kind of personal ritual, often as bookends to our day.
Our rendition of the classic blend of black teas enhanced with oil of bergamot and colorful cornflower petals. This favorite of so many tea drinkers will entice you with its heady scent.
Ingredients: Fair Trade Black Tea, oil of bergamot, cornflower petals. Contains Caffeine.
A lively blend of Assam and Ceylon black teas with colorful cornflower petals will brighten your day, with its hearty, rich brew.

Aside from their centuries-old reputation as cure-alls, dried mint leaves have been brewed for their aroma, refreshing flavor, and cool aftertaste. Some add them to India and Ceylon black teas, and they are traditionally used in Morocco with Pinhead Gunpowder tea.

Hand-rolled into tight little pellets that resemble gunpowder, Taylor Maid’s pinhead Gunpowder brews a clear amber liquor with a tint of green, a light fragrance and a clean, lively, bright taste that is vaguely sweet and haunting. It has surprising body. Use a bit more water than usual when brewing. Add our Pure Peppermint to create your own “Moroccan Mint” blend.

Closer to green than Oolong tea, our Jasmine is selected from hundreds of fine teas, the leaves being picked at their flavor peak in the spring before the rain and the period of fast growth. The tea, a Pauchong, is then held with special care until summer when the best flowers are available for blending to impart their rare and delicious perfume. It is indeed a tea of teas – extremely fine, delicate and aromatic.
